About “High-Performance @BactLAB™
Colony Counter Enterprise Edition”

This solution is an enhanced version of the existing @BactLAB™ tailored for corporate use. While it retains the basic operations of the previous solution—such as digital image acquisition via a smartphone application that counts colonies cultured on the CompactDry™ ready-to-use chromogenic medium using AWS Cloud, and colony detection (counting) by a hard-tuned AI for business applications employing the YOLOv4 object-detection AI network (machine-learning model)—it also implements the following new functions.

• Specimen identification label printing function
• Post-colony-count correction function
• Report form output function
• Graph rendering function for test results, etc.

It can be customized for each specific use case, such as integrated analysis across multiple regions of food-related companies and function selection by user hierarchy. By managing data using a global cloud, unified data management for process control becomes possible for quality control at suppliers and manufacturing plants involved in food production, as well as for the head office quality control departments (QC/QA supervising departments) of group companies, covering raw material receiving, processing, manufacturing, production, shipping, quality assurance, and related operations at each site.
